Well, friends March has gone bye and to think i have barely posted, I know shame on me. But March has been a whirlwind. Which I expect the rest of the year to be. My job has been getting more and more demanding, but it is very understandable. This is because I work in the field of domestic violence and sexual assault. Sometimes hard, but a very rewarding job. We received great news today, but news that really made me think. We are expanding more grant money from the government is coming in, and that is great, but it also means this problem is getting bigger. I sometimes say that I would like to work myself out of a job, but with this economy I do not see that in the future.
But in other news I will be returning to my college town this weekend for food, fun and LOTS of cocktails with my sorority sisters, i know I am sure you are super jealous, because I would be if you told me you were going to see your BBFs.
Also, side note, JCrew is having a extra 30% off their sale, my favorite time of year. And the coveted Victoria Ruffle Shirt is on there. I will be spending my rent on every color!
Have a great day my lovelies!

Outlet shopping and besties!
It is FRIDAY! I have been waiting for this day to come all week! I have amazing plans this weekend. I am meeting up with my two besties/roommates/sisters from college. We will call them Flower and Russca. YAY for cheap hotel rooms and all night talks. We are going shopping at the outlets, and then my holy place... the mall (and hopefully the bars!). I know it will be hard for some of you fabulous ladies to believe but I have not been to the mall in like 3 month. Shocker! I will post pics with my (fingers-crossed) amazing finds and deals.
But I am most excited to see my girls, they live on the Memphis side of TN and I live on the Knoxville side of TN. We are separated by miles and miles.
In other exciting new, I got my wii fit yesterday! I don't know if they have any left but I got mine from amazon.com for 89.99 and I got one day shipping for3.99 because I have amazon prime
The downside is the weigh in but, it does give you motivation. I did it for an hour last night. I think you are really suppose to only do it for 30 minutes, but I just wanted to try everything. Advanced step by far is my fave.
Any of you ladies have wii fits? It seemed like a better option for me than a gym membership, partly because there are no gyms here.
In other news, my brother and mama are traveling to Florida today to pick up his car that he recieved for his 18 birthday. It is a 5 speed and very small, so please keep them in your thoughts for a safe trip home.

Yummy....
So i got this at the grocery store last night for a cheap / busy day lunch option, and it was super yummy and only 180 calories. Can you believe it????
It seems that there is so much going on in the blog world, many people are experiencing heartache, lost love ones (even pets), and family emergencies. I just want everyone to know that you are in my thoughts. We have a wonderful blog world here and I am lucky to be apart of it!!!

musings...
First, I want to say I found out a great thing today and I want to share it with all of you. It is ebate.com It gives you money back for going to their website first and then clicking on what place you want to shop from. AND IT IS FREE!
if you want to sign up go HERE!
Second, movie = very cute and heart warming and i can't believe that JB sat through it.
An overall wonderful weekend!!! JB is so sweet, we promised not to exchange gifts, but I recieved a lovely arrangment of coral roses. The party was very funny, but I do regret not having alone time on the day of love. It is so hard to entertain.
Third, since my enrollment in ebates, and for the fact that I am very restricted on shopping, buying things online is my saving grace. And you ladies know how I love a bargin, I have found an new shopping salvation: Martin and Osa!
The pieces are very simple and have almost a Jcrew flair but alittle more my style

It's HERE!
I am so in love with my V-day plans.
Side note: I guess since this is the start of my blog that I should make up some name for my b/f. From now on and so forth he will be known as JB.
JB has graciously let me have a two day holiday! With tonight being casual dinner and a movie. Now can you guess what movie!?!?!?! Yes ladies it is Confessions of A Shopaholic! I can't believe he is going. It must be Valentines Day to get this man anywhere near a movie that uses more clothing labels than conjunctions.
As for Day Two: it is a little down the college path but we are having a party at our house, but alas mainly his fraternity brothers can attend. But it is always an interesting and amusing time when they visit.
Hope everyone has a fabulous day no matter if it is a gush-fest with a boy or another single awareness day.

wishful thinking
This weather is starting to get on my nerves, it is warm enough for me to break out my sandals, pastels, and seersucker, but I would look like and idiot next to all the people still in their winter black, browns, and grays.
Winter = no fun.
I never fill like making up cute winter outfits except for like the first few weeks of fall.
So inspite of this i have been internet window shopping..... AAAHHH...summer i can almost smell suntan lotion... oh ok that is my coconut lotion i just put on.
A few of my favorites!
I love green when you have a tan! JCrew- Cotton cady Lydia dress
I love this Lilly Dress, the coral print is amazing, the 300 dollar price tag not so much!
Oh hurry on over to The Magic Risotto Diaries, for a lovely giveaway that is what V-day is all about!

Taking it to the MAXX
So yesterday I had a meeting in the big city. (I know what your thinking no not new york, just a big city to me) The meeting was a drag, but the most exciting thing happen: I got to do a little power shopping! Since there is not even a Wal-mart nor a Target :( in my small town. My place of choice was TJ Maxx, because I am never disappointed there. I have been meaning to drop in because I keep hearing fabulous things from people about Lilly, Ralph, and even J.Crew. But Sadly none of these things were at my local store.
But don't you fret ladies, it was not a waste of a trip.
I found a lovely pair of seven jeans, dark denim, for only 29.99!! and a great pair of denim trousers (perfect for casual workdays) by Kenneth Cole!
But the two pieces I fell in love with was a black Limited v-neck sweater and a black cashmere cardigan!
What I loved the most is that when I was checking out the v-neck was on clearance for 10 dollars but had just been markdown to 3! And the cardigan went from 25 to 10!!!
What deals I tell you! Hope ya'll are finding these great bargains to!

I'm trying...
I know that I have not put up anything in a while. I know not many people have happened upon my musings, but I think I am in the department for needing a little help. Any suggestions of how to really get started? I cannot narrow my focus.
In other news, have any TN girls seen the Bonnaroo line up? I know going three days without a shower sounds yuck, but they do have amazing musicians. But alas I will not go.
In other news, even though I have not posted, i have been lurking around blog spot. I have been reading some of my favorite blogs in their entirety. And I just want to extend a hug to G.R.I.T.S.
I have fell in love with your blog and enjoyed reading it all. You are a very classy lady and deserve all the best!

Snow
well it is here. I have a very love/hate relationship with winter weather. I love being tucked inside all warm and watching the snow, but staying at home all day I tend to make poor eating choices and end up eating 400 points. But there is something about snow that makes everything perfect, it covers all the ugly.
PS Did you see the inauguration today? Aren't the Obama girls to cute!!!!

Belt-Buckles You Can Eat Off Of: Never Good
1st-well, here I am a prep in the middle of a small town that also just happens to be in the Bible Belt, seriously they think overalls with a button up shirt is a classy outfit. I should not judge I grew up here, but since moving to college and expanding my taste for the classier side of life it does appall me. Therefore, my new outlet. Voila'! I just needed a place to express that OMG J.Crew has 20% off and free shipping and how exciting that is.
2nd- this whole ordeal is to track my lovely first big girl/real world job. Yes! I know a job... Well one should be excited, but my parents wanted me to go to law school (which is still not out of the question). Back to the job, I am a advocate for a non-profit that deals with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, very rewarding work.
3rd- I just miss fashion and how exciting it was. I say was because living in a place like this drains the fun, fashionista out of you and before you know it you are rolling into work in jeans and a old date party shirt, with your hair in a ponytail. Yes I know outrageous. And my New Years Resolution is to put the brakes on outfits like that. But I needed a little help, a place to organize my ideas. Instead of bouncing back and forth from the J.Crew website to the Banana, when in reality I need to take my ass down to the thrift shop, but end up on Ralph Lauren.
Focus it is what i need, stay tuned.
